What is the most challenging aspect of growing DC into a nationally competitive tech hub?

While the Federal government is generally viewed as an impediment to technological progress and growth, I believe the opposite is true and that some of our most pressing global problems can only be solved by massive cross sector collaboration. This can only happen in D.C. but only if widely held attitudes and misconceptions are changed.

What excites you the most about the developing DC Tech community?

All of the necessary elements for an explosive tech industry are here and approaching critical mass. If we stop trying to emulate Silicon Valley and embrace our region's unique innovation DNA we will see something very powerful emerge.

What's your favorite DC restaurant/bar/food truck?
